Yangon: Scott's Market
After a very busy day of travel and sightseeing we couldn't wait to fall into bed. However, the beds were harder than the marble at the temple. I kid you not, rock hard. But we were so tired we just went into a coma. My slumber lasted about 2 hours interrupted by total body pain. So I threw on a robe, hopped on the elevator and ran to the hotel desk. Within 10 min of my complaint two lovely men showed up with comforters hoping to fix the problem. It was a very poor solution but I was too tired to argue with people who didn't know English well. The next morning they brought a sponge padding that worked great. Such is the service and sweetness of the Burmise people. They do everything possible to make sure their customer is happy!
Today, in spite of our fatigue, we took a taxi to Scott's market. Longy's for men and women are stocked in every booth. I succumbed to the pressure and bought one. Funny how even with my height and blond hair I was now one of "them"!
