Singapore: A Date With Some Redheads

Sunday 2/2/20

Today Annalisa and I traveled 20 Km outside the city exchanging tall buildings for lush green nature reserve where the trees grow without fear of logging like in other parts of Asia. A beautiful reservoir surrounds the area and helps to contain wildlife. Here is the home of one of the world's top three zoos. This is where we had breakfast with the most popular residents, the orangutans. Four of the nine joined us in our breakfast enclosure.  Two juveniles and one mother-baby pair entertained us for a whole hour while they ate fruit and sugar cane. We chose from a wide array of delicious different local and western food.

We met some wonderful travelers, a family from Australia, and a mother and son from London who we joined in seeing the rest of the zoo.  It is always fun to trade travel stories with others along the way.
